About
Erika Stark is a Canadian artist whose work has been exhibited in a variety of formats all over Toronto and the GTA. Her body of work explores themes of Magic, Myth, Momento Mori, and Monsters. Through her art, she invites viewers to contemplate the mysteries of life and death, as well as the fantastical and monstrous aspects of the human experience. Her pieces are infused with a sense of wonder and a touch of darkness, inviting viewers to embrace both the light and shadow within themselves. Some themes that can be seen include:
Transformation: Many of her pieces depict creatures in various stages of metamorphosis, reflecting on the transformative power of nature and the passage of time.
Femininity: Often celebrating strong, powerful women who are unafraid to embrace their own darkness and complexity.
Dreams: Her pieces have a dreamlike quality, blurring the lines between waking life and the subconscious realm.
